The faculty is led by Associate Artistic Director Darla Hoover and includes Charles Askegard, Maxim Beloserkovsky, Cynthia Birdwell, Olga Dvorovenko, Peter Frame, Jenna Lavin, Joseph Malbrough, Tara Mora, Francis Patrelle, Elizabeth Walker, Wendy Whelan and Cheryl Yeager. The permanent guest faculty include Nicholas Ade, Stacy Caddell and Jennifer Davidson.

SYLLABUS & CURRICULUM
The comprehensive BAE syllabus was created by Darla Hoover and is based on the teachings of Marcia Dale Weary. The syllabus is designed to develop technically strong, expressive ballet dancers, who ultimately can adapt to any style.
The Pre-Professional Ballet Division consists of nine levels. Each student is evaluated by the BAE faculty and placed into the level where she/he will benefit most from their classes.
The curriculum includes technique, pointe, partnering, variations, stretch, men’s weight training, modern and character.
For Parents of children entering level 1
Performing opportunities give students the chance to further develop their artistic and technical skills. BAE presents two annual student productions; the Studio Showing in February, and the Spring Performance in May. Click here to learn more about BAE performances.
Scholarships and financial aid are available to those who qualify. Upon acceptance, you may request a financial aid scholarship form from Nancy Sebhouian, Head of registration (email@example.com).

Registration is accepted online, by mail, phone at 212.410.9140, fax at 212.369.2723 or in person. Registration office hours are Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 6:30pm.
BAE 2014-15 Pre-Professional Division auditions will be held on August 27th and September 15th. Please sign up in advance.

MALE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Eight full-year tuition scholarships will be awarded to male students between the ages of 7 and 19 each year.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT VISA PROGRAM
BAE is accredited by the federal government to accept foreign students.An audition is required.

HOUSING FOR OUT-OF-TOWN STUDENTS
SUMMER INTENSIVE: August 18-29
The BAE Summer Intensive is a two-week program for ages 9-19, designed to challenge professionally focused students. Admission is by audition only. Students are placed in levels according to their ability and study with world-renowned dancers and teachers. The program is limited to 100 students.
The students' daily schedule will include ballet technique, pointe, varations, pas de deux, men's class, Pilates mat, modern and character.
Summer Intensive Audition: Video auditions are accepted. Very limited space in some levels is available.

The summer curriculum includes technique class for Levels 1 - 4 and pointe for Level 4. Student should enroll in the level they were in during the most recent school year. New students must audition.
