REGISTRATION FOR THE 2014-15 SCHOOL YEAR
Registration is now open for the Young Dancers Division.
You are welcome to register online, by phone at 212-410-9140, fax 212-369-2723 or in person at BAE. We look forward to sharing the joy of dance with your child this coming school year, our 35th!
We recommend that you reserve your child's spot in class as soon as possible so we can fulfill your first choice.Please feel free to call with any questions. Registration office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Petit Dancers (Ages 18 months-2 years)
18 Months: comfortable playclothes and bare feet
2 Year Olds: Girls wear pink leotard, pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Tutus and skirts are not permitted. Boys wear white T-shirt, black tights, shorts or sweatpants and black ballet slippers.
Pre-Ballet: (Ages 3-6)
Girls wear pink leotard, pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Tutus and skirts are not permitted. Boys wear white T-shirt, black tights, shorts or sweatpants and black ballet slippers.
Girls wear any color leotard, pink or black tights and tap shoes. Boys wear any color T-shirt, black tights or sweatpants and tap shoes.
Girls wear any color leotard, footless tights and bare feet. Boys wear any color T-shirt, footless tights or sweatpants and bare feet.
YOUNG DANCERS DIVISION (18 MONTHS - 6 YEARS)
BAE's teaching philosophy is based upon the premise that children thrive in a loving, positive and nurturing environment. Our programs for young children are designed to incorporate learning, creativity, musicality and fun. Classes are taught by highly experienced teachers who all have a special love for teaching our youngest dancers. Each class also has a co-teacher and live musical accompaniment. Petit Dancer, Pre-Ballet and Tap classes are accompanied by pianist. Modern classes are accompanied by percussionist.
PETIT DANCERS CLASSES (18 MONTHS - 2YEARS)
Children and their parents/caregivers share the joys of dance and music through song and movement while learning group and individual participation. Classes are 45 minutes long.
PRE-BALLET CLASSES (3-6 YEARS)
Children are introduced to the beginnings of ballet in a positive and creative environment. Classes focus on developing strength, flexibility, musicality and joy of dance. Each class is 45 minutes long. Children age 6 entering first grade in the current school year will be in the Primary Class.
TAP CLASSES (3 1/2-5 1/2 YEARS)
This indigenous American dance form, with emphasis on rhythm, is a fun and exciting opportunity for students to build physical coordination and musicality. Classes are 45 minutes long.
MODERN CLASS (3-5 YEARS)
In this fun and creative class, dancers will explore various kinds of movement through guided improvisation. Students are introduced to basic vocabulary and steps using various traditional modern techniques. The class emphasizes confidence-building along with the joy of new discoveries through movement. Classes are 45 minutes long.
BALLET BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Celebrate your child's birthday with a ballet theme party at BAE for an unforgettable day. Ages 2-6.

SUMMER CLASSES (18 MONTHS-6 YEARS)
Children learn the beginnings of ballet, as well as gain a love of music and movement, throughout the summer months. Each class is 45 minutes.

Summer 2014 Schedule
SUMMERDANCE & MARCH MINI-SESSION
A full day, program for girls ages 4-10 over the summer and 4-8 in March. Meets Monday through Thursday. Each day is filled with fun and creative activities focusing on the arts. The program includes ballet, tap, modern, yoga, cooking, arts & crafts, musical theatre, jazz, drama, origami, circus arts, gymnastics, and more! Early drop-off and late-pick-up are available.
Session 1: June 23 - July 17
Session 2: July 21 - August 14
