Junior Summer Course 2025

For aspiring dancers, ages 8 to 15 

The BAE Junior Summer Course inspires dancers to reach their next level of achievement. Elevate your technical skills while immersing yourself in the exceptional training and supportive atmosphere that BAE is known for.The rigorous curriculum is designed for highly talented and dedicated students. Classes are taught by year-round BAE faculty members and distinguished guest artists. 

We encourage you to apply to audition today to experience the exceptional training and warm, encouraging environment of BAE!

Age requirement is as of July 7, 2025.

2025 Audition Dates:

  • Sunday, February 2, 2025
  • Saturday, March 1, 2025
  • Sunday, April 6, 2025
  • Saturday, June 7, 2025

Audition times will be announced closer to the dates but typically occur between 2:30 and 7:00 p.m.

Full Four Week Session: July 7 – August 1

  • Upon acceptance to the Junior Summer Course, students will receive an email invitation with enrollment instructions. 
  • We recommend you register as soon as possible to secure your spot in the program. Once the program fills, you will have the option to join the waitlist.

Additional Events:
  • In our exciting and inspiring “Meet the Artist Summer Series,” students will have the opportunity to meet and chat with professional dancers.
  • Each summer, we plan a group trip to American Ballet Theatre.

Class Schedule
The program hours are Monday through Thursday, 11:00-4:30 p.m., and Friday, 10:00-3:00 p.m. The start or end time may vary slightly on some days. The full class schedule by level will be posted closer to the start of the Program.

11:00-12:45 – Technique Class
12:45-1:45 – Lunch
1:45-3:00 – Pointe & Variations
1:45-3:00 – Men’s Class
3:15-4:30 – Contemporary

Classes are taught by the distinguished BAE year-round Pre-Professional Division faculty and guest artists, led by Artistic Director Stacey Calvert.

2025 Summer Tuition

  • Entire Four-Week Session: $3,100
  • Session 1 – Two Weeks: $1,700
  • Session 2 – Two Weeks: $1,700

Early Bird Tuition Discount: Save 10% when you register by March 15, 2025!

A $500 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration. The balance is automatically put through on April 25, 2025.

Ballet Technique Classes:

Students who identify as female: Any solid color leotard with pink or flesh-toned tights and ballet slippers, pointe shoes (if applicable). Skirts, sweatpants, leg warmers, and multi-strap or rhinestone-studded leotards are not permitted.

Students who identify as male: Any solid color tee shirt (no logos) with black or grey tights


All Other Classes:

Character: Either character shoes or ballet slippers. Ladies: Black character skirt or any solid color ballet skirt

Modern: Footless tights and bare feet (men: gray or black tights, ladies: pink, black, or flesh colored tights)

Stretch/Strengthen: Any solid-color leotard with either footless tights or rolled up tights

Hip Hop: Shorts, sweatpants or dance wear, with sneakers

Please bring a notebook and pen or pencil to class so you can take notes.

Financial aid is available to those who qualify.  Please contact us to request a financial aid or Male Scholarship Fund application.
