Preparing Aspiring Dancers for Success
This two-week program gives aspiring dancers ages 9-19 the opportunity to complete their summer studies on a strong note and be fully prepared for the season ahead!
The rigorous curriculum is designed for serious, highly talented students. Classes are taught by the distinguished BAE faculty and notable guest artists.

Audition Fee: $30. Space in the program is very limited.
Current BAE Pre-Professional Division students are not required to audition for the Junior Summer Course or the August Intensive.
The program dates are Monday, August 19 – Friday, August 30, 2024. Classes are held Monday-Friday each week.
Classes are taught by the distinguished BAE faculty led by Artistic Director, Stacey Calvert, and esteemed guest artists.

Students who identify as female: Any solid-color classic-cut leotard (tank, camisole, short or long-sleeve style) with pink or flesh-tone tights and ballet slippers for ballet class. Any solid-color classic-cut leotard with footless tights for modern class. Traditional skirt and character shoes for character class. Skirts (other than character class), sweatpants, leg warmers, and multi-strap, multi-color, halter, turtleneck, or rhinestone-studded leotards are not permitted.
Students who identify as male: Black or white tee shirt with black tights for ballet class and any color tee shirt with footless tights for modern class.
BAE does not provide housing for its summer programs. There are many nearby hotels and short-term apartment rentals, including Courtyard by Marriott on East 92nd Street and Marmara Manhattan on East 94th Street.
