Hannah Blaser, 2011 Graduate

“I am pleased to hear everything is going well at BAE! I miss everyone there so much. I really cherish my years at BAE and everything my time there has brought me. I am doing very well here in Miami. After 18 months at Miami City Ballet School,

I am currently studying marketing at the University of Miami Business School and am very involved in Miami life. I try to take dance classes whenever I can, and am also involved in many new things that I was limited to in the past, like paddle-board, yoga and kite-boarding. In addition to being extremely busy with school work, I am currently in the process of starting my own business.

All in all, I am exploring many new things and making the best of my time in college. It\’s a pleasure to be part of the alumni newsletter. Thank you so much for keeping me involved, I think about BAE all the time! Hugs and kisses to you all!”

Katie Kim, 2009 Graduate

“Since wrapping up my last Spring Performance with the BAE Student Company in 2009, I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Health and Societies and a minor in  Consumer Psychology. At Penn, I joined the Arts House Dance Company and eventually became its Artistic Director, continuing to pursue my love of ballet, in addition to exploring other forms of dance, like jazz and contemporary. I also served as the Social Chair of the Chi Omega Fraternity, worked at the Wharton Small Business Development Center, and was a member of two national honor societies, Mortar Board and Order of Omega.

After graduating from Penn, I began my career with UNIQLO, a Japanese fashion retailer, where I have worked for the past 2.5 years. I joined the company as a UNIQLO Manager Candidate, starting at the 5th Avenue flagship store and becoming an Assistant Store Manager within 6 months. Then, I opened a new store in Stamford, CT, and then became Store Manager at the 34th Street flagship store.

This past May, I was given a new opportunity at our corporate headquarters to join the Fast Retailing Management and Innovation Center, which is the department in charge of training and developing all staff. I am now responsible for the development of all store managers across the United States.”
